GRATE is a new designer brand of women’s shoes and accessories that combines contemporary minimalism with concise, carefully considered details. Collections are made from high-quality natural materials.
Our task was to develop an identity that reflects the brand’s premium, restrained yet never boring character.
The logo is inspired by old-style dynamic serifs, combining fluid, lively curves with sharp, eye-catching details. It conveys both classic restraint and a daring personality. The logo is complemented by a minimalist mark referencing medieval carved stone grilles.
The typography deliberately pairs contrasting typefaces — italic serif and straight-lined grotesque — highlighting the brand’s uniqueness: classic in style yet modern in spirit.
Rich, deep colors immerse the viewer in an atmosphere of privacy and calm, while tactile materials and meticulous attention to detail make interacting with the brand a pleasant experience from the very first touchpoints.
