Context

Football is the most popular and widely played sport in Uzbekistan.

Almost every boy (and increasingly, girls) plays football on the streets; every neighborhood has its own team, and footballers are national heroes.

Fan support in the country is among the brightest and most passionate in the world.

The national team reaching the global stage is a national celebration.

However, most fans cannot afford to travel to the USA and support the team in person.

The Problem

The average monthly salary in Uzbekistan is less than $500.

A trip to the World Cup includes:

• Flight: from $1,000

• Match ticket: $500

• Accommodation, food, and other expenses: from $1,000–$1,500

Total cost — around $3,000, which is 6–10 times the average monthly income.

In addition, a large number of fans are unlikely to obtain a visa.

Thus, physical presence at the tournament becomes impossible for thousands of dedicated supporters.

The Solution — FAnBRIC

FAnBRIC is a project that allows fans from Uzbekistan to be part of the World Cup — even without traveling to the USA.

Anyone can upload their photo on the project’s website, and their face will become part of the print on the official jersey of the Uzbekistan national team at the 2026 World Cup.
